TRAINING IN 2014...
The "Bridging the Gap" series of training courses is aimed at riders aiming to move into Advanced / 2* and
those working towards/at 3* level who are looking to move towards a more established 3* level. It is so named as the series aims to 'Bridge the Gap' between U21s and World Class, providing coaching support for those who fall outside of these categories and helping them to move forward to achieve their goals.
The plans for 2014 include two 2 day training camps in January and February, at Attington Stud, Tetsworth, OX9 7BY,
dates will be confirmed shortly. There are to be training days around the country, each month, some with show
jumping and cross country, and others with dressage and show jumping, aiming to raise the game for those competing now at 2* or 3* level. There will also be 2*, 3* and Advanced course walks at many Events, and these can be checked out at the BE Bridging The Gap webpage.
The days will include the following:
- Preparing early in the year for good, correct basic way of going to enable the combination to achieve a well balanced, accurately presented test
- To use gymnastic exercises to establish an athletic jump and to work to achieve a good canter to meet the demands of modern show jumping courses
To apply for a Training Scholarship you must have attended a Bridging The Gap day.
